This story captivated and held my attention from beginning to end. This story was intriguing; action packed, seriously sexy, and left me an emotional mess.

I came across this book in a group and would see these really sexy and erotic teasers. There was one teaser that stood out to me about the sex on a stick hero, Dr. Jacade where he’s the doctor, but she heals him. I remember thinking this book is going to be fun; it’s going to have a hero, a Dr., and an alpha that has a sensitive soul. I expected that this hero knew exactly how to please a woman and I couldn’t wait to sit back and enjoy. SO did it have all that? Sure, but it was MORE!

M.K. Gilher had me from the beginning, without revealing too much there is a trauma where the heroine, the lovely Ivy, experiences. Honestly, that alone I knew there was going to be a mystery involved. We are face to face and brought to the realization that something heavy has happened here, that someone hurt her, that someone wants to save her, and that was truly when I sat back, enjoyed, and disconnected from the world to read this book.

We come back to the present where we meet the sassy, curvy, beautiful, Ivy who meets a mystery man on an elevator. I know Ivy couldn’t breathe, but I couldn’t breathe! It was consuming, the mystery man and Ivy’s connection had me panting, I kind of feel like if M.K. Gilher didn’t write; “ Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.” I too was going to lose it.

I feel like the way the scene from the past to the steamy elevator scene was overwhelming not just because of its sexiness, but because it flipped my emotions from questioning the traumatic experience to making me feel vulnerable and turned on by this mystery man.

Ivy comes face to face with the sexy and forward Dr. Jacade. He has the looks, the charm, the intellect, but he is hiding a lifetime of secrets.

I think that the author did a great job of playing with our emotions. Knowing when to turn us on, with erotic words, a dirty talking alpha, who can turn your fantasies into reality (truly the man is creative!) then bringing us back to the point where Ivy is in danger. Ivy is in her head, and so are we! As a reader you are trying to figure out the past, the present, and what this will all mean for Jacade’s and Ivy’s future.

Ivy may feel physically scarred, but Jacade is covered in secrets that have left him a broken person. I can’t wait for more!

What I liked/Didn’t Like I loved the book Revival it was slow to start but picked up speed and kept me on my toes till the end of the book which happens to be a cliff hanger.
Ok. I. Am. Impressed.

During the first 25% of the story, I wanted to quit reading. I mean this story was said to be Mafia related but it seemed to be about a very horny, desperate, woman (Ivy) with serious self-esteem issues. You know that saying...."Never judge a book by its cover"? Don't. Do. It. M.K. will have your mind so messed up you're thinking Ivy is this or that and then you discover this chick not only own Jacade but own the story as well!

Jacade, the gorgeous mobster who is also a plastic surgeon, saves Ivy in more ways than one! There is a lot of history between Jacade and Ivy that's only hinted in this installment. There's lots of Mafia drama and awesome sex so get ready for the ride!

The Mafia never disappoints. Jacade definitely doesn't! Revival is a good read and I definitely recommend this installment. Book 2 is available and I'm on it like......like.....peanut butter on a banana! All in baby!
